Black Horse Show Nylon Mecate Reins HOrsehair Tack 22'  Black Mecate Reins with Black Horsehair Tassel These are made by Weaver Leather, so the quality is superb! As a Judge, I have seen these reins used in the showring, and I have also seen them used on the trail! They are comfortable and pliable in your hand, and don't itch if you're not wearing gloves! The show quality braided mecate rein features a braided rawhide button and horsehair tassel at one end, and a leather popper with bleeding heart knot on the other. The rein measures 23 feet and is 1/2" wide. We also have this rein available in black, and in a split rein.
