HoovesandPaws always sells products that are fresh, and have a long expiration date, so plenty of time to use them. They have not been exposed to extreme cold or heat.
A horse that hasn't been dewormed regularly can be an internal feeding ground for parasites. Symptoms include a dull coat, lack of shedding in the spring, lethargic and depressed demeanor. Some have a potbelly and actually look fat, but ribs are also visible. These horses show a decrease in positive attitude, performance, and health because the food they receive is consumed by the parasites, preventing the horse from receiving the necessary nutrition they need to work for you. Vitamins and minerals are depleted as well.
For most horses, deworming should occur every eight weeks. We in fact have found great showring results by worming our foals with a VERY SMALL dose on a more regular basis, to tighten up their bellies, and keep the coat sparkling. Aggressive worming will help prevent those nasty internal parasites from taking hold. In circumstances where the horse is exposed to high parasite concentrations, deworming should take place every six weeks.
Having seen a horse arrive at our farm for brreding from Kentucky, and die within two days of arrival due to lack of worming for a long time, we follow manufacturer's and veterinarian directions specifically on our horses.
The wormers have not been exposed to extreme cold or heat.

Effective June 16, 2011, and until further notice, due to the Canadian Postal strike, all purchases by Canadian buyers will be subject to a surcharge for alternative shipping to Canada. While we prefer to ship United States Postal Service, this is currently unavailable to us, due to the Canadian Postal Strike, as USPS will not ship to Canada effective June 16, 2011, until further notice. For this reason, any and all purchases by Canadian buyers will be subject to a surcharge, which will be added after an item is purchased. The shipping charges for the order you place, will receive a surcharge, which will be added after we receive your order from Ebay for shipment. Specifically, once you order and pay for your order and shipment, we will contact you prior to shipping with the surcharge, which shall be the buyer's responsiblity for additional payment prior to shipping. We will be unable to ship any order to Canada, regardless of cleared payment, until surcharge is calculated by us, and paid by buyer. NO order will be shipped until the surcharge is paid, and the surcharge will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
This surcharge is solely so we may continue to provide service to our Canadian shoppers. Please bear with us during the Canadian Postal Strike, which we're certain is just as difficult for you as it is for us.
We promise to you, our Canadian shoppers, to maintain our same level of exceptional service, which requires that we seek alternative yet more costly methods of shipment to Canada.
Thank you for your kind attention! Together, we'll get through this, and still get our products to you.
